2) What This Site Is (and Isn’t)
The Site provides information about Deshima Music and Deshima Sessions, including audio examples, catalog highlights, and ways to contact us about music production and licensing.
The Site is not a self-service licensing portal unless expressly stated. Licensing transactions are handled through our licensing partners and/or separate written agreements.
3) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when they were last updated. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
4) Permitted Use
You may use the Site for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
- copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, or publicly display Site content except as expressly allowed by law or with our written permission
- scrape, harvest, or collect data (including email addresses) from the Site using automated means
- attempt to access non-public areas of the Site or interfere with security features

6) Audio, Catalog Highlights, and “Listening” Does Not Grant Rights
Audio on the Site is provided for evaluation and listening purposes only.
Unless you have a separate written license agreement (typically via our licensing partners), you may not:
- use, sync, reproduce, distribute, broadcast, stream, upload, sample, or otherwise exploit any audio from the Site
- use any audio in film, advertising, trailers, social media, games, podcasts, or releases (band/solo artist) without proper licensing
Availability, pricing, territory, term, and permitted uses depend on the applicable license terms offered by our licensing partners and/or separate agreements.
7) Licensing Partners and Third-Party Services
Where offered, licensing is handled through third-party licensing partners. If you follow links to third-party sites or use third-party embedded services, those third parties’ terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party services, availability, pricing, or policies.
8) Inquiries, Messages, and Submissions
If you contact us or submit information (including messages, references, playlists, files, or links), you represent that you have the right to share it.
Unless we sign a separate written agreement, you agree that:
- your submission is not confidential, and
- we may use the information you provide to evaluate your inquiry and to communicate with you.
Do not send sensitive personal information through the Site.

13) DMCA / Copyright Complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a notice including:
1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
2. Identification of the allegedly infringing material (with URL)
3. Your contact details (name, address, phone, email)
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
5. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder (or authorized to act)

15) Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, USA, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
16) Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
